Lucius Woods and Gaelic Storm

We went to my parent's cabin in northern Wisconsin over the weekend. It was great to get a chance to relax after a very stressful and anxious week, which included a minor car accident among other nasties.
The highlight of the weekend was going to Lucius Woods County Park to see Gaelic Storm perform (Click on any photo to go to their website). It was quite a treat.
Braden was awed by the music.
Gaelic Storm has been one of my favorite bands since Kira introduced me to their music. Seeing them in person was no disappointment. The show was a mix of traditional and new tunes with good humor scattered throughout.
Braden did great at his first outdoor concert and fell asleep during the second set. The boy didn't even want to be held. He just relaxed in his stroller, looked cute, and listened.
I picked up a souvenir DVD to add to my Celtic Collection, which is all Chieftan's DVD's besides this one. I'm certainly open to suggestions for broadening my Celtic, folk, and traditional music DVDs. Let me know if you're aware of others, or better yet, surprise me with a gift.

Ahhh, I'm so jealous! Coincidentally, I'm listening to Gaelic Storm as I'm checking blogs today! G.S. is one of those bands that is just fabulous live. At least they have been every time I've seen them....

So you actually watch your music dvds? I've never gotten any, mostly because I don't know when I'd watch a music thing on the tv....

I do watch them. It sort of helps me to transport myself and get into the music. One of these days I'll get surround sound, and it will be even more fun.
