Although our guy isn't crawling yet, he's making lots of rocking, scooting, and standing motions. Even though he can get to what he wants and sees (even the lamp cord!), it's sort of nice not to have to think about the basement stairs, every outlet, every cupboard, and all the dirt on our floors just yet. Despite all of that, it certainly is fun to see him get to these developmental milestones.

With just a little boost from mommy, yes he can! He certainly stands all by himself. The pulling up needs just a bit of practice. Time to lower that crib mattress!

I always wished there was a better way to babyproof for cords.... I put outlet covers on every single outlet, but Anya has never shown interest in outlets. Cords were a different story though! And it's amazing how much cleaner I keep the floors now, since she started crawling!
wow! He is such a big boy! He really will be moving before you know it!
I am dreading that full blown baby proofing too, yuck. I have already added the top of the stairs gate though.
