This weekend was a busy one at our house. I had class Saturday, but got out in time to come home and help my dad make a cabinet for under our butcher block counter. The space wasn't really functional, and the butcher block wasn't really solid, so my dad built a two shelf cabinet to solve the problem.
We finished the project in time to celebrate Dad's 57th birthday (notice the 5 cupcakes and the 7 cupcakes: Dad's idea).
We still had time after dinner and desert to tackle another project. We cleaned all the muck out of the drain at the bottom of our driveway. It was plugged and the rain was pooling instead of flowing through the drain to our sump pump.
I'm not sure what Dad enjoyed more, the party or getting to do some projects with us. Maybe a toss up. However, I think the thing he enjoyed most of all was playing with his grand kids.
