Any Mother is a Working Mother

Sarah ready to jump in.

Braden when he saw mommy after she got home.

I'm going to take a stab at a blog posting this time! My first official day back at work was Dec 26. It was a day to get reacquainted and reorganized. Surprisingly, I just jumped right back in and started making the same decisions I was making back in Sept! Amazing to me that the three months went that fast, and that part of my brain didn't get sucked out of me.

I missed work...to some extent. Of course I would love to run by my own schedule all the time and do what I want to do. But being a stay at home mom can also be very isolating. No adult conversation besides your partner sometimes. To that extent, I love being useful in a "different" way than Braden needs me. Being a nurse fulfills a different part of my person than being a mom. I think I'm a much better mom when I get to use that RN side of myself. It's been part of my identity since senior year in high school! I'm more energized, loving, patient, and just don't take any moments with Braden for granted.

How fortunate I am that Braden gets to still spend the majority of his time with mommy and daddy, with some great learning and care the other few days. For our family, the best of both worlds!
